Austrian Embassy in Beijing: Extending Sino-Austrian cooperation in Lympedema Therapy

The Zhejiang Cancer Hospital in Hangzhou held a seminar together with Lohmann & Rauscher:

At the opening ceremony of the two days seminar on lymphedema therapy, organized by the Zhejiang Cancer Hospital in Hangzhou, the general manager of Lohmann & Rauscher China, Mr. Georg Votava, and expert on wound management, Dr. Thomas Eberlein, explained the European university course “complex decongestive therapy” and gave insight into the health care system in Austria.

The education and training seminar was attended by medical doctors, nurses and researchers from Chinese hospitals.

Within the network of the Institute for technology-based Education in Health, Management and Social Service International (IHM), which combines several Austrian and European ministries, as well as Austrian and international research institutes and universities of applied sciences, Lohmann & Rauscher work together with Chinese partners to establish vocational training courses such as “lymphedema therapist” and “train the trainer” in China.

OSTA delivered greetings to the audience.
